In celebration of Tony Lane’s exhibition in Northern Spain, we are delighted to present a companion exhibition here in Auckland. In these luminous paintings, the light, colour and iconography of Northern Spain are fused with Lane’s lexicon of symbols and the familiar topography of Aotearoa.

The works range in scale from grande to pequeno (small) They are all painted in oil on gesso ground and feature hand gilded aluminium leaf frames.
